Karpos Consulting

Bear fruit

The name Karpos is the Greek word for 'fruit'. It symbolizes the result I aim to deliver within the environment of my client. But also for the result that my client achieves within its context, to which my efforts may make a modest contribution.

The word 'fruit' also appears regularly in the Bible. God's Word is the most important foundation on which I base my life. The following beautiful Bible verse that is an important touchstone for me. In this verse Jesus says:

"Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit." [Matthew 12:33]

Business Analysis

My goal is to deliver the most appropriate results from the business analysis I do. To achieve this it is crucial that there is a good match between my services and the environment and objectives of my client. To facilitate finding this match I like to indicate what I have to offer in terms experience and skills. But I think it is at least as valuable to share something more about who I am, what energizes me and how I can make people happy. I think this also says something about what kind of environment I flourish in and can optimally contribute to a convincing vision, applicable innovation and sustainable development.

Business Analysis viewed from Ikigai

As the bases for my business analysis, I chose three pillars: Together, Peace and Focus. The first reflects the importance of collaboration. Of course, I am perfectly capable of conducting a business analysis or creating a process model by myself. But the quality of my understanding of the customer, product, service or organization depends heavily on my interaction and collaboration with different stakeholders and colleagues. The second is "Calmness." I myself need a certain degree of peace in order to carefully listen, research, analyze and comprehend. But I also like to bring peace within an organization or team by providing clarity and insights. The third pillar is "Focus." Focus enables me to enthuse people, draw up options and scenarios and support decision-making.

I have schematically represented my story in the Ikigai model:

And I think running my own business is an excellent learning experience for a business analyst. And for the fun of it I develop and manage the website myself.
